Hopfensee (Germany)

Description

It was formed during the Ice Age when the tongue of the Lech Glacier hollowed out and left behind a dead-ice depression. Because of its lakeside promenade, vibrant resort life, and scenic backdrop, the area is affectionately nicknamed the "Riviera of the Allgäu".
