Back from the Brink

A herd of scimitar-horned oryx enjoying somewhat of a milder weather compared to its desert habitat. They were declared extinct in the wild around 2000. Thanks to global breeding programs in zoos and private reserves, they were successfully reintroduced to Chad and downgraded from "Extinct in the Wild" to "Endangered".
