The Hermitage of San Juan de Gaztelugatxe (Bermeo)

The original 9th- or 10th-century building has survived fires, battles, pirate raids (including an attack by Francis Drake in 1593), and fierce storms. The current structure was rebuilt in 1980. Inside the chapel, you can find various model ships and ex-voto offerings left by sailors who survived shipwrecks.
