The Maritime Traffic Control Tower (A Coruña)

Locally, the building is famously known as “la hache” (the letter H) because of its distinct architectural silhouette. Opened in 1995, it was conceived following the tragic December 1992 shipwreck of the oil tanker Aegean Sea near the coast, which prompted urgent measures to tighten maritime navigation safety in the area.
